How to set up your trinidadusa.net email account using Netscape Messenger Versions 4.5, 4.61, and 4.7
Note: Netscape allows you to specify only one POP server and one SMTP server at a time. Before you delete your current settings, make sure you write them down in case you need them again.
- From the Edit pull-down menu, select "Preferences."
- Choose the Mail & Groups category, then select "Mail Server." If you don't see "Mail Server," click the plus sign (+) to display more categories.
- In the Mail Server User Name box, type your trinidadusa.net Mail ID (your email address without the "@trinidadusa.net").
- Type "mail.trinidadusa.net" in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server box.
- Type "mail.trinidadusa.net" in the Incoming Mail Server box.
- In the section labeled Mail Server Type, select "POP3."
- Uncheck "Leave messages on server after retrieval" if it is checked.
- Click on "More Options."
- At the top of the window you'll see a space for Mail Directory. This indicates the location where mail will be stored on your hard drive. You can keep the directory suggested by Netscape or select one of your own.
- The "Check for Mail" line can be configured as you like. If you don't want to have Netscape continuously check your trinidadusa.net Mail, leave the box unchecked.
- If you want Netscape Mail to remember your password, check the box labeled "Remember my mail password." You will be prompted for your password initially. When prompted, enter your trinidadusa.net Mail password.
- Click "OK."
- Under the Mail & Groups category on the left, select "Identity."
- In the Email Address box, type your trinidadusa.net Mail address (make sure to include "@trinidadusa.net").
- Click "OK."
