The Geektools Whois Proxy queries many different whois servers to give you the most complete search possible. If your domain name is owned by someone, it will return the name of the owner and contact information.
whois.networksolutions.com has some information about domains registered through Networksolutions and Verisign that is not available to the Geektools Whois Proxy.
If neither of these servers has information about the domain name that interests you, it is more than likely available.
Once you've ascertained that the name you want is available, here is some advice you may find useful.
To conduct a search:
- Type in the domain name that intrests you. Just type the name itself ("trinidadusa", for example, not "www.trinidadusa").
